Job Title: Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Supervisor (Night Shift - No CDL)
Location: Des Moines, IA 50313
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (40+ hours/week)
Shift: Night shift, Overnight shift (Sunday - Thursday)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Hood Cleaning Supervisor to lead night-shift crews servicing commercial kitchen exhaust systems across the Des Moines metro. In this role, you will lead 2-person teams, manage jobsite safety, operate high-pressure washing gear, and ensure exhaust systems meet fire safety standards. NO CDL IS REQUIRED.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor 2-person night crews, ensuring jobsite safety and high-quality cleaning.
  • Set up plastic containment, ladders, chemical solutions, and high-pressure washing hoses.
  • Scrape heavy grease buildup from exhaust hoods, fans, and ductwork systems.
  • Operate power washing equipment to clean exhaust setups down to bare metal.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and log before-and-after digital photos.
  • Drive company service trucks pulling small equipment trailers to customer sites.
  • Onboard and train technicians on proper safety protocols and cleaning methods.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Standard Driver's License & clean MVR (must pull utility trailers; NO CDL REQUIRED).
  • 1+ years of supervisory, crew lead, or management experience in field service or trades.
  • Background in commercial pressure washing, hood cleaning, HVAC, or mechanical service preferred.
  • Full commitment to night/overnight shifts (Sunday evening through Thursday night).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight/warm commercial kitchen spaces.
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
