This position will assist our Production team with scheduling production and development activities. This includes but is not limited to opening, maintaining and closing related jobs, tracking job status, scheduling resources including customer supplied and purchased material, monitoring shipment requirements. This individual will work very closely with Sales, Production and Engineering Teams.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare Daily and long-term production schedules utilizing ERP and sales forecasts for simple to medium complexity planning activities.
  • Provide support to Sr. Planner to develop delivery commitments by coordinating scheduling activities with production team to balance production capacity, productivity, and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Review incoming orders for scheduling conflicts, material availability.
  • Attend production meetings to evaluate production schedule, backlogs, material shortages, labor requirements, etc.
  • Update and maintain jobs and board metrics.
  • Assist sales in the expediting of routine PO's, material, and other routine customer communication.
  • From time to time, it may be necessary to assist other areas of Operations in administrative activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Associates degree or equivalent combined experience and education.
  • Prior experience in an MRP environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MS Office Proficiency.
  • EPICOR or related software experience.
  • Proficient Multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Previous planning experience.

Physical Demands
  • May require some lifting of up to 40 lbs.

Compensation
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $56,000.00-$77,000.00.
