About the role:
The Senior Event Planner will take charge of high-complexity events, managing every detail from planning through execution and close-out. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage administrative tasks for the event planning team.
As a Senior Event Planner, you're skilled with and passionate about:
  1. Event Planning
    • Lead planning for high-complexity events, ensuring all elements align with the client's vision and standards.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as catering, production, AV, and setup & logistics to create seamless event experiences.
    • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets, identifying and addressing potential challenges early in the process.
  1. Event Execution
    • Oversee event setup and logistics, maintaining close communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, handling unexpected challenges and making adjustments as needed to meet client expectations.
    • Ensure that all aspects of the event-from audio-visual needs to catering services-are executed flawlessly.
  1. Event Close-Out & Data Management
    • Conduct thorough post-event evaluations, including data entry and reporting for accurate record-keeping and insights.
    • Identify and implement improvements for future events, focusing on operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  1. Team Support & Administration
    • Support the event planning team with administrative duties, such as meeting assignments and tracking team progress.
    • Mentor junior event planners, sharing best practices and providing guidance for complex event scenarios.

You might also have:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in event planning, with experience managing large-scale, high-complexity events.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a talent for managing multiple priorities.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and a natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments.

You should know:
  • This role is in-person, with the primary expectation of being on-site at the client's headquarters a minimum of 4 days per week
  • Our standard working hours are 8:30 AM -5:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25%
We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Senior Event Planner is between $70,000 - $100,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
