This position is responsible for managing information technology for the Utah Asia Campus. Implements and maintains policies and goals that support the organization's IT needs.
Analyses customer requests and feedback to maintain service and to develop new services. Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades. Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs. Responsible for computers, audio, and video equipment in the classrooms and computer labs. This position reports to the Executive Director of Campus Operations and Government Affairs, a division under the Chief Administrative Officer.
Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Planning
  • In close communication with the University of Utah IT (UIT), align IT systems with the UAC business goal.
  • Plan technology upgrades and a digital transformation initiative available in Korea for UAC.
  • Provide overall instructional guidance for all areas of IT devices on campus.

Infrastructure & Systems Management
  • Support UIT and work with IGC to manage servers, networks, cloud systems, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Purchase, install, and maintain IT equipment & software. (Computer, telephone, server, printer, e-podium, video conferencing device, router, software, network, input device.
  • Purchase, install, and maintain audio and video equipment. (TV, monitor, beam-projector, speaker, audio amp, audio mixer, microphone)
  • Ensure technology is functioning in classrooms, faculty/staff offices, and any other IT-related areas.
  • Maintain all Computer labs and a Mac lab, as well as maintain software purchases/license management.
  • Provide IT support to students, faculty, and staff and help ensure that the UAC data is secure.
  • Apply and develop a system aligning an Information Security policy reflecting U's policy 4-004 and the Korean information security law and regulations.

Project Management
  • Oversee the overall systems such as AMS, EMS, UBOX, and e-Approvals.
  • Support official events and projects when requested.
  • Plan and develop an integrated system environment
  • Ensure projects meet operational and security standards.
  • Align the goal with the AI Office at SLC and build an AI-friendly working environment

Team Leadership
  • Supervise IT Specialist and Computer Lab Specialist within the division.
  • Assign projects, monitor performance, conduct performance review/management, and support professional development.
  • Coordinate cross-functional IT initiatives as well as providing training if needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of campus operations& Government Affairs and CAO.

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Language proficiency: English and Korean - Written/Spoken
