The Role
RedMane has a full-time opportunity for an IT Help Desk Technician based in our Chicago Office. As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will be part the team supporting technology for all RedMane staff and offices. You will help improve end user's productivity by completing triage, offering advice, teaching and developing solutions to common challenges with office products and capabilities. You will be responsible for hardware break/fix support, account management tasks, system deployments, and inventory management.
Skills & Role Requirements
The nature of this support role requires daily/onsite office presence in our Chicago Headquarters just east of O'Hare/Rosemont in Chicago.
The IT Help Desk Technician will need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Network Administration
  • A professional demeanor and strong customer service/consulting/training skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting/repairing laptop hardware
  • Experience in troubleshooting Windows 11
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint)
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 / Entra and SharePoint preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $45,000/year to $65,000/year.
