Job description

GCEC's Manager of IT will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the internal network system, ensuring that all network equipment remains functional at an optimal level and coordinating its replacement when it no longer is a benefit to the cooperative. They will work directly with the VP of Administration to develop and implement a network strategy that ensures GCEC's network will remain operational and secure, as well as remaining within the compliance guidelines of the NIST SP 800-171 & 172 standards. Manager of IT will oversee GCEC's cybersecurity program and direct the Network Security Tech to ensure that the cooperative remains vigilant and prepared to defend against possible attacks on internal networks. They will implement and help enforce policies and procedures that are required to remain in compliance with all CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and NIST SP 800-171 & 172 standards. Manager of IT will oversee and manage GCEC's employee cybersecurity awareness training; assist IT contractors and the VP of Administration in management of GCEC's network; and ensure that all components operating within the network are doing so at optimal levels and comply with the standards set forth in the CMMC. The Manager of IT will also assist GCEC management, as needed, with technical requirements related to projects or processes being implemented and will serve as the cooperative's primary point of contact with major hardware, software and operating system vendors regarding sales, service and troubleshooting.
