Your Impact
The IT Development Manager is responsible and accountable to lead and develop the Solutions Delivery team to provide infrastructure and application solutions to our INPRS' customers, effectively and efficiently. This includes, but not limited to, day-to-day management of Application Developers and System Analysts. The IT Development Manager will create an environment that invites and supports constructive collaboration with the Service Desk Manager, other IT Management, and departments outside of IT.
Essential Duties:
- Provides strategic and hands-on tactical leadership of Development and Systems Analysts team members
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of development projects, acting as the bridge between strategy and solution delivery.
- Serve as a leader for strategic application design and user experience
- Trains, coaches, mentors and manages direct reports
- Performs resource capacity planning for their team
- Partners with other Development Managers to provide best, cross-system solutions
- Manages enhancements and daily support requests for assigned applications
Job Requirements:
- Ability to manage and lead team of Developers and Systems Analysts with technical focus in the following disciplines:
- Salesforce CRM and AgentForce
- Oracle ADF
- Java
- HTML
- Oracle PL/SQL
- PeopleSoft Pension Administration
- People Tools
- Strong application development experience (required)
- Re-engineering or application refactoring experience (desired)
- Experience with User Experience design techniques
- Ability to quickly comprehend complex systems
- Ability to create positive work relationships
- Experience in the planning, coordination, and execution of development projects, to produce high quality computer solutions.
- Progressive thinking and strategies for enhancing the Fund’s service to its members
- Strong team leadership skills (organized, set priorities, manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years working in Solution Development
- 3+ years leading Development teams/departments
- Experience in Database Design, SQL, Systems Analysis
