Overview
A freestanding ER in Longview, TX is seeking an IT Technician - Nights & Weekends to join their team. We're expanding our IT Support coverage and are looking to add two part-time IT Technicians to support coverage from 7PM to Midnight and weekends from 9AM to 6PM. The IT Technician will strive to provide proficient, competent care.
Responsibilities for the IT Technician - Nights & Weekends
  • Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers and printers.
  • Checking computer hardware to ensure functionality.
  • Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
  • Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems including repair and replace parts and debugging.
  • Maintaining records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
  • Maintaining updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
  • Communicating with the technology team and other departments as collaboration requires.
  • Supporting the implementation of new software and hardware.
  • Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications for the IT Technician - Nights & Weekends
  • Proven knowledge of the hierarchical infrastructure of health information systems.
  • Proven working knowledge of diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company's goals.
  • Associate degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Healthcare Information Systems and Technology.
  • Ability to read, speak and write the English language.
