2027 Internship - Human Resources Associate (Independence, KS)

Description

Why This Internship

As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Intern role will primarily be focused on assisting with human resources support, employee data, procedures and services for a wide variety of human resources activities. Opportunity to support internal customers to provide guidance with business strategies, processes, communications, and policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain standard and customized processes for human resources to support HR management, business partners and other internal customers.
  • Partner with functional leadership to drive talent management/development programs and philosophies consistent with the organization's strategy, goals, and values.
  • Participate in implementation of human resources technology enhancements.
  • Support internal talent acquisition including the sourcing of talent, building talent pipelines, and identifying talent gaps/needs. Partner with recruiter and hiring manager to set recruitment strategy and oversee recruitment processes.
  • Other projects and assignments to support and gain exposure to different human resources fields

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent professional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with HR sensitive material
  • Customer service focus

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
