An internship in healthcare management is a temporary position that provides students or recent graduates with hands-on experience in the administrative and operational aspects of healthcare organizations. Interns typically work in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare agencies, assisting with tasks such as project management, data analysis, budgeting, and policy implementation. The goal is to give interns practical knowledge of how healthcare systems are managed, preparing them for future leadership roles in the industry. Internships often last a few months and may be part-time or full-time, depending on the organization. They are valuable for building professional networks and gaining industry-specific skills.

Familiarity with healthcare information systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools is typically expected.
