About the Role

A Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) organization is seeking a detail-driven Comptroller to own the accounting and financial reporting function reporting directly to the CFO. This role goes beyond the books you'll manage everything from AR/AP and monthly reconciliations to Medicaid member billing, claims oversight, and regulatory filings. If you thrive on accuracy, month-end rigor, and keeping a healthcare operation financially airtight, this one's for you.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & Reporting
  • Oversee the financial books and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Review and report Budget vs. Actual figures monthly to the CFO
  • Prepare and submit monthly Revenue & Expense reports to the CFO
  • Manage depreciation, prepaid, and accrual schedules
  • Handle end-of-year closing of the books
Accounts, Reconciliations & Payments
  • Manage AR/AP aging
  • Record and enter all AP invoices and process payments upon approval
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Review the monthly checklist of standard recurring expenses
  • Reconcile the monthly revenue roster
Claims & Medicaid Billing
  • Oversee the Claims and Authorization Department
  • Review claims payments processed in QNXT and record them in FundEZ
  • Enter all remittances in FundEZ
  • Reconcile and track member enrollment lists
  • Manage Medicaid Member Billing, including remittance posting and rate settings tracking
  • Import paid/denied remittances from Medicaid into internal software
Compliance & Regulatory
  • Create and submit MMCOR reports to DOH on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare regulatory filings and audit documentation for review
  • Participate in mandatory meetings as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO and/or CEO
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, or graduate of a business school in accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in healthcare/managed care
