About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax & Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in tax preparation, accounting, and client service within a professional firm environment. You'll gain real-world exposure to working with individuals and small businesses while developing technical and professional skills that are essential for a successful accounting career.

What You'll Do

As a Tax & Accounting Intern, you will:

  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals and small businesses
  • Assist with tax extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Complete electronic tax workpapers to support filed returns
  • Review client documents to identify reportable income and deductions
  • Prepare missing information requests for clients as needed
  • Perform account reconciliations using QuickBooks or similar software
  • Participate in tax training sessions to build software and technical knowledge
  • Maintain the confidentiality of client and firm information
  • Assist with additional services such as payroll and bookkeeping
  • Support the team with various projects and duties as assigned
