Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants will experience a variety of projects. Each project experience is designed to fuel your curiosity, build capability, drive real outcomes, and prepare you for the next career level. Consultants learn alongside experienced leaders and advisors to develop a strong understanding of business processes, regulatory environments, and risk/control frameworks, as well as to build fluency in AI-enabled analysis, data interrogation, and audit methodology. Consultants assess risks, analyze data, document observations, and communicate insights that contribute meaningfully to client engagements. Through interactions with client and project team personnel, consultants build professional relationships grounded in trust, which support exceptional client service. A successful consultant manages time and priorities effectively, takes ownership of assignments, and contributes meaningfully to team outcomes.
With each project, you receive hands-on training in a supportive, high-performance environment and interact with leaders across our practice. Talent Managers will assign specific project experiences that support career growth, your skills, and the needs of the business. A network of advisors will help you navigate challenges and celebrate milestones. Internal Audit and Financial Advisory consultants are hired into one of two areas, including:
  • Business Process Audit and Advisory: Helps companies become more innovative by exploring their business processes, identifying and mitigating emerging risks, developing creative solutions to complex business challenges, and encouraging best practices to enhance business functions. Business Process Auditors also help clients meet regulatory and compliance requirements and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of core business processes. Managing risk, monitoring and testing controls, enhancing security, and improving corporate governance are core internal audit services.
  • Technology Audit and Advisory: Helps companies navigate the risks and opportunities of an increasingly complex technology landscape, including cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, and cloud. Technology Auditors assess and advise across the full spectrum of how organizations use technology to protect and enhance enterprise value, including controls and regulatory compliance, privacy, software development, technology resilience, and technology governance.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related fields)
  • Visa Status: All applicants applying for U.S. job openings need authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.)
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills

  • Technical proficiency aligning with the assigned capability area

HOW WE WORK
Protiviti practices a hybrid model, combining in-person with purpose and remote work to best support excellent work, connection and collaboration. Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$70,000.00 - $87,000.00
Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.
$72,000.00 - $89,000.00
Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
