Position: Internal Consultant
The Internal Consultant must possess excellent interpersonal skills, as the job requires constant interaction with co-workers and registered reps over the phone. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the financial services industry and the processes that exist in order to properly provide client solutions. Additionally, the Internal Consultant candidate must demonstrate a high level of proactive daily activity. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and team player.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with External Consultants to effectively set and execute sales strategy for their respective territory.
  • Territory management including scheduling meetings, prospecting, service and sales activity, and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide needed research and analysis to External Consultants and provide timely and accurate updates to the CRM.
  • Develop and maintain investment and industry knowledge and serve as a subject matter expert on all products and services offered by Meeder Investment Management.
  • Present virtually via Zoom or other virtual meeting programs, demonstrating the effectiveness of our products and/or our investment approach.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for existing clients to ensure firm meets its retention objectives and develop strategies for cross-selling other Meeder Investment Management services and products.
Critical Success Factors
  • Demonstrate conviction in Meeder Investment Management solutions and investment approach, along with a passion for the investment industry.
  • Strong, proven background as an Internal Consultant working with financial products and services and the ability to become a subject matter expert in all Meeder Investment Management product and service offerings.
  • Ability to effectively work with External Consultants in a partnership/supportive role through the sales cycle.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and phone skills.
  • Proven client focused consultative sales approach, including ability to listen to clients/prospects needs and help identify and provide solutions.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding predetermined key objectives
  • Strong virtual presence and ability to communicate complex information and material effectively via virtual medium.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to manage your day, and the discipline to meet the goals that are expected of you.
Technical Skills Required
  • Bachelors degree
  • FINRA Series 6, 7, or 65 preferred
  • Knowledge of CRM database preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
  • 2-5 Years Financial Services Internal Wholesaling experience
  • Experience with Mutual Funds
