Job description

Position:                               Marketing & Merchandising Intern

Department:                         Marketing

Reporting Relationship:      Reports to the Sr. Manager, Brand & Integrated Marketing

Status:                                   Intern (Non-Exempt)

Duration:                               June 2026—May 2027

Position Summary

The Marketing & Merchandising intern position with the Carolina Panthers will focus on assisting the marketing team with event activations and planning as well as assisting the Merchandising team with reporting, internal orders, and team store liaison.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Marketing team on new/current fan activations inclusive of vendor management, ordering promotional items, creative requests, event ideation and execution
  • Assist Marketing Coordinators in game theme planning, including NFL-wide themes and Carolina Panthers–specific activations across gameday, in-season, and off-season initiatives
  • Involved in research for marketing initiatives and future platforms
  • Co-manage organization of stadium storage and marketing inventory
  • Assist with department product pulls, merchandise ordering inclusive of communication with the internal procurement team, third-party vendors, and team store
  • Assist with merchandising campaigns involving strategy, internal communication and creative asset delivery
  • Responsible for merchandising recaps consisting of data entry, product tracking, internal order distribution
  • Manual labor often required (promotional item deliveries, event implementation, shipments, etc.)
  • Acquire general knowledge of department functions and duties to be able to assist on an as-needed basis.
  • Responsible for writing, formatting, and distributing meeting recap notes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree and have interest and/or prior sports or entertainment industry experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.

  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach, good instincts for prioritization, ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to work under a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while staying self-motivated and being a team player with a mature and respectful disposition
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information

Work Environment

  • This role will work approximately 40 hours per week
  • This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions) and remotely as assigned by management and based on current business needs.
