Job description

Position Summary: The X Ray Tech/ Medical Assistant supports daily clinical operations by preparing exam rooms, assisting with imaging, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring timely communication with patients and providers. Delivers efficient, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, stock, and sanitize exam rooms daily to ensure readiness for patient visits.
  • Clean, sterilize, and repackage suture removal kits according to clinical standards.
  • Prepare patient charts in advance, ensuring all ordered labs, imaging, and test results are available for provider appointments.
  • Initiate patient encounters in the exam room, documenting notes based on provider-specific templates and preferences.
  • Perform X-rays prior to the provider entering the exam room and determine imaging needs.
  • Monitor messages and return patient phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Obtain, scan, and upload lab, MRI, EMG, and operative reports daily.
  • Educate patients on locations and next steps for MRI, EMG, and therapy services.
  • Maintain and manage the Athena clinical inbox daily.
  • Provide coverage for other providers when the primary physician is out of the office.
  • Travel to satellite office locations as required.
  • Maintain a current and valid X-ray license.
  • Communicate openly and consistently with providers to support quality patient care.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Current BMO Florida License required or ARRT
  • One-year experience or comparable (internship)
