About Level Pathways

Level Pathways is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe housing, educational support, and life-changing opportunities for homeless and housing-insecure youth. Our mission is to protect, prepare, and position young people for a successful future.

Position Summary

Level Pathways is seeking a passionate and creative Marketing Intern to help increase community awareness, support fundraising efforts, and share the stories of the youth we serve. This unpaid internship is ideal for a student or emerging professional looking to gain hands-on nonprofit marketing experience while making a meaningful impact in the community.

The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Executive Director to support social media engagement, website updates, content creation, and community outreach initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Assist with updating website content, event information, and organizational news.
  • Help develop graphics, photos, videos, and written content that highlight Level Pathways' impact.
  • Support marketing campaigns for fundraising events, volunteer recruitment, and community awareness efforts.
  • Monitor social media engagement and assist with responding to comments and messages as directed.
  • Research marketing trends and recommend new ways to grow audience engagement.
  • Help gather stories, testimonials, and program updates from staff and volunteers for marketing purposes.
  • Assist with email communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Wix, WordPress, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and social impact.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing and communications.
  • Portfolio-building opportunities through real-world projects.
  • Exposure to fundraising, community engagement, and nonprofit operations.
  • Networking opportunities with community leaders, volunteers, and nonprofit professionals.
  • The satisfaction of helping change the lives of youth experiencing homelessness.

Time Commitment

Flexible schedule of approximately 5–10 hours per week. Hybrid or remote opportunities may be available.
