Intermediate Interior Designer

Department: Furniture
Location: Minneapolis, MN — based out of our brand-new, showroom at International Market Square
Status: Full Time | Exempt
Reports To: Furniture Manager

What You’ll Do

Discovery

  • Partner with Account Executives on projects of all sizes from quick wins to complex, large-scale installs
  • Actively engage with customers and influencers to identify project needs and solutions
  • Support client meetings, showroom tours, and on-site visits
  • Assist with site measurements, inventories, and space assessment
  • Confidently explain product benefits and guide clients toward the best solutions
  • Create preliminary budget pricing
  • Stay current with trends, vendors, and CEU opportunities
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with vendor partners

Design & Solutions

  • Solve real client challenges through thoughtful design and product selection
  • Create space plans, layouts, and renderings
  • Develop engaging customer presentations
  • Produce finish packages and detailed product specifications
  • Maintain proactive communication with project team
  • Source installation quotes and navigate contracts to deliver best-value pricing
  • Support RFP responses with professional documentation
  • Finalize pricing and installation documents

Team & Showroom Experience

  • Collaborate with the Design Manager to develop design solutions, contributing ideas that support both the client vision and team goals
  • Engage with teammates sharing ideas, asking questions, and supporting one another
  • Assist walk-in customers in selecting furniture solutions
  • Manage priorities with a customer-first mindset
  • Contribute to a positive, energized, and solution-driven work environment
  • Step in where needed, knowing the best work happens when teams work together

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • 2–4 year Interior Design degree
  • 4+ years of relevant interior design or contract furniture experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in:
