Job Title: Technical Recruiter
Job Description
This role leads the full-cycle recruiting process for highly specialized roles within the Intelligence Community, Aerospace, Defense, and National Security sectors. The Intel Recruiter partners closely with business leaders to understand complex hiring needs, builds and manages pipelines of cleared technical and engineering talent, and ensures an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance. The position focuses on sourcing and hiring candidates with Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI clearances while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from intake meetings and role scoping through offer negotiation and acceptance.
  • Recruit for positions supporting Intelligence Community, Aerospace, Defense, and National Security programs.
  • Source and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, networking, referrals, and other sourcing tools.
  • Develop and maintain strong pipelines of candidates requiring Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI clearances.
  • Conduct recruiter screens to assess candidate qualifications, interest, and fit for technical and cleared roles.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and other interview stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to fill difficult technical and cleared roles and to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial outreach through onboarding handoff.
  • Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Monitor and report on key recruiting metrics to ensure hiring goals are met while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure recruiting processes align with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • 5 to 7+ years of recruiting experience within the Intelligence Community and/or Aerospace and Defense industries.
  • Proven success recruiting for technical and engineering positions.
  • Experience recruiting candidates with active Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI security clearances.
  • TS/SCI hiring experience with cleared talent pools.
  • Strong sourcing experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, and Boolean search techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including iCIMS.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the end-to-end recruiting process, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with hiring managers and business leaders.
  • Ability to work remotely during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to meet hiring goals while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.

Work Environment
This is a remote role that operates during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours. The position relies heavily on Applicant Tracking Systems such as iCIMS, as well as sourcing platforms including LinkedIn Recruiter and ClearanceJobs, and the use of Boolean search techniques. The work involves frequent collaboration with hiring managers, technical leaders, and other stakeholders supporting Intelligence Community, Aerospace, Defense, and National Security programs. The environment is fast-paced and goal-oriented, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and accurate documentation of recruiting activities.

This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $60.09/hr.
