Internal Developer
** This is an in-person position in Ann Arbor, MI**
Job Summary
We're seeking a self-motivated Monday.com App Developer to support and enhance our customized Monday.com workflows, views, and automations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about optimizing business operations through custom app development.
You'll work closely with our leadership and operational teams to streamline processes, build user-friendly interfaces, and integrate third-party tools like Pipedream and QuickBooks. If you have experience building solutions within Monday.com's developer framework and a good sense of UI/UX design, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Monday.com apps, widgets, and views using the Monday.com Apps Framework (React-based).
  • Build and configure automations, custom board views, item-level tools, and integrations to improve workflows.
  • Implement API integrations between Monday.com and external platforms such as Pipedream, QuickBooks, and others.
  • Work closely with team leads to gather requirements and translate them into effective Monday.com solutions.
  • Optimize user experience through thoughtful interface design, dynamic views, and efficient workflow logic.
  • Provide technical documentation and occasional user training or support.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve any performance or data syncing issues between tools.
  • Recommend platform architecture best practices and stay up to date on Monday.com platform updates.

Qualifications
Required
  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (React.js preferred).
  • Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience working with integration platforms (e.g., Pipedream, Zapier, Make.com, or similar).
  • Understanding of UI/UX best practices for web-based tools.
  • Ability to configure and customize workflow automation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative office setting.

Preferred
  • Hands-on experience building custom apps or widgets within a low-code/no-code platform.
  • Familiarity with financial, document, or CRM tools (e.g., QuickBooks, PandaDoc).
  • Exposure to workflow automation and internal business process optimization.
  • Basic understanding of database structures and data syncing concepts.
  • Prior experience in a service-based business or SaaS environment.
