Job description

A Integration Manager with the Systems teams works with other Toyota Automated Logistics employees, customers and suppliers to utilize the latest technologies to integrate material handling systems for complex applications. The process involves understanding the customer's goals and objectives, and developing smart engineered solutions to meet these goals. The Systems Team is the lead for integrating large scale Material Handling solutions, often involving Controls, Software, Robotics, and Consulting Teams within the project. Technologies used in this position include the full scope of Material Handling with conveyors ranging from simple gravity conveyor up to cutting edge shoe sorters with servo driven diverts, robotics, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems from a variety of vendors, and complex add on such as automated carton erection or print and applies.
The Integration Manager is responsible for supporting automation projects and will be capable of component selection, mechanical commissioning and mechanical/device troubleshooting, HMI development, PLC programming and debugging, Software debugging, onsite system checkout and startup, and validation of System Throughput and Efficiencies.

Job Functions:
  • Close coordination with Project Management, Integration Technicians, and Integration Specialists.
  • Managing commissioning and testing efforts on multiple projects and projects with a more complex scope of work.
  • Using technical expertise to guide others in the performance of their duties.
  • Develop commissioning and testing documentation specific to each project.
  • Drive development and execution of agreed upon testing plans in preparation for customer signoff and acceptance.
  • Manage and monitor defect tracking for projects.
  • Manage schedule and budget for Integration project personnel.
  • Manage installation, start up, and troubleshooting of equipment supplied by Toyota Automated Logistics and external suppliers, whose quality and operation reflects on Toyota Automated Logistics and affects the success of the project.
  • Management and review of technical and testing documentation from other team members.
  • Participate in design reviews for project designs and commissioning drawing packages.
  • Resolving problems escalated by other team members.
  • Clear communication with management, engineering, project management and other team members
  • Manage quality of Integration on all projects to adhere to Toyota Automated Logistics standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standard practices to ensure quality improvement and cost reduction.
  • Work well with others on Toyota Automated Logistics and customer teams
  • Solve problems either individually or through collaboration with suppliers, other internal teams, and team members.
  • Lead in reviewing testing documents and tracking of on time progress to meet go live schedules.
  • Create commissioning and testing schedules to meet overall project schedule milestones.
  • Coordinate with Team Lead for project resource management.
  • Deliver successful automation projects with regards to customer satisfaction, schedule, time, and budget.
  • Develop and Maintain commissioning check out list, and operational test plan specific to each project.
  • Driving conversations and has active participation in Lessons Learned meeting providing relevant material for improvements.
  • Communicate with other Toyota Automated Logistics team members effectively. Check and use voice mail / e-mail diligently. Maintain the team relationship.
  • Organize and lead trainings to certify others in applicable technologies or programs.
  • Identify new controls, software or hardware techniques or equipment that will help maintain Toyota Automated Logistics as a leader in our industry.
  • Complete all administrative tasks/paperwork in timely manner.
  • Other job duties as assigned to support Toyota Automated Logistics projects and processes

Travel Requirements:
  • 80% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics)

Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications :
  • Masters degree and 1 - 3 years of experience in related industry
  • Bachelors degree and 3 - 5 years of experience in related industry
  • Technical Associates degree and 5 - 10 years of experience in related industry
  • Automation Industry experience required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US long-term without the need of sponsorship.
  • Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
