MuleSoft Developer
Remote
The MuleSoft Developer will use the MuleSoft middleware integration platform to connect disparate applications, data and systems so they can communicate and exchange data seamlessly. They will specifically focus on implementing MuleSoft integrations between legacy systems and other systems such as Salesforce, DataBricks etc.
Responsibilities
Build MuleSoft APIs and integrations using Mule 4, RAML, DataWeave, XML, and JSON with strong design and reusability principles. They are expected to work independently on end-to-end integration projects, handle complex data transformations, and contribute to solution design.
Package and version Mule applications as deployable JARs with proper configuration and dependency management.
Use MuleSoft connectors effectively to reduce custom code and streamline integration development.
Manage end to end deployments across all environments, including manual and automated releases.
Build real time integrations using Salesforce Platform Events, Event Bus, and CDC.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrating with AWS self hosted runners for secure execution. Copado knowledge is preferred.
Handle secrets, credentials, and environment properties using secure storage and encrypted configurations.
Collaborate with cloud/network teams to understand VPC setup, load balancers, and connectivity requirements.
Implement authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, Client ID enforcement, and API Manager policies.
Ensure APIs comply with enterprise security standards and platform governance.
Monitor logs, performance metrics, and worker utilization through Anypoint Monitoring or external tools.
Configure email alerts and operational notifications for integration failures or business events.
Implement robust error handling, retry logic, and failover mechanisms for high availability.
Ensure reliable event processing, idempotency, and proper handling of replay IDs.
Integrate with Salesforce Data Cloud and other data sources for scalable data flows.
Maintain strong understanding of MuleSoft platform limits, worker sizing, rate limits, and object store constraints.
Document integration flows, deployment steps, and operational runbooks for long term maintainability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in software development, with a minimum of three years strong, hands-on focus on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (specifically versions 4.x).
Extensive experience with Mulesoft Salesforce integrations.
Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (Mule 4) is required and it is expected the candidate is working toward Level 2 or Architect certifications.
