Overview

Integrated Marketing Specialist JCPenney Plano, TX

The Integrated Marketing Specialist supports the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive customer engagement, brand relevance, and business growth. Working closely with the Manager, this role serves as a key connector across Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, E-Commerce, and Campaign Strategy teams to bring seasonal and category marketing plans to life, with a focus on the Home category.

The Specialist plays an important role in translating business priorities into marketing execution, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position helps coordinate cross-functional initiatives, supports campaign planning and production processes, and contributes to the seamless execution of customer-facing marketing programs across channels.

Through strong organization, collaboration, and attention to detail, the Integrated Marketing Specialist helps ensure consistent and compelling customer experience while supporting the broader goals of the business.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across key customer touchpoints, including digital, print, social, and in-store channels (with a focus on the home business).
  • Partner with Merchandising, Creative, E-Commerce, Seasonal Strategy, and other cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with business priorities and delivered on time.
  • Manage the sample process from planning through execution, coordinating with merchant, styling, creative, photography, and production teams to ensure product assets are organized and available for marketing needs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing calendars, campaign timelines, and project trackers to support seasonal and promotional initiatives.
  • Review marketing materials and campaign assets for accuracy, ensuring content aligns with briefs, promotional offers, merchandising priorities, and brand standards.
  • Support the creation, submission, and maintenance of content within marketing and content management systems.
  • Coordinate project communications, meetings, and follow-up actions across cross-functional teams to help keep initiatives moving forward.
  • Assist in compiling campaign recaps, promotional histories, and business performance summaries to support future planning and decision making.
  • Gather and organize competitive and marketplace insights to help identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Support onboarding and launch activities for new brands, businesses, and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with agency, vendor, and production coordination to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives that support customer engagement, business growth, and brand objectives.
Core Competencies & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of marketing, merchandising, retail, brand, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with project management, content management, or workflow tools is a plus.
