About the Job

As the Director of Integrated Marketing & Communications at Horizon Family Brands (HFB), you will lead the team responsible for planning, integrating, developing, executing, and measuring integrated marketing campaigns. You will partner closely with brand teams and omnichannel marketing teams to deliver cohesive, highโ€‘impact campaigns. This role also oversees multiple agencies and leads a team of four, managing campaigns and media across our key business segments (milk, yogurt, creamers, cottage cheese) that collectively generate more than $1B in annualized net sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives that build brand equity, increase household penetration, drive segment growth, and improve profitability.
  • Partner with crossโ€‘functional teams to execute integrated marketing plans, including (but not limited to) consumer communications, social and digital marketing, shopper marketing, media placements, and performance measurement.
  • Manage relationships with agencies of record for brand advertising and PR, partnering to optimize media planning processes, deliver new user goals, and drive ongoing creative and media optimization.
  • Spearhead the annual planning process for key marketing priorities, including leading crossโ€‘agency kickoffs, managing timelines, facilitating collaborative briefโ€‘writing workshops, supporting investment allocation decisions, and driving internal alignment.
  • Coach and develop the teamโ€™s social and digital capabilities, including leadership of influencer, creator, and search programs.
  • Oversee the PR agency relationship, ensuring execution of campaignโ€‘specific and alwaysโ€‘on PR plans that drive brand consideration and relevance.
  • Lead influencer and creator strategy, planning, and execution, ensuring strong integration and collaboration across agencies and internal teams, with coordinated media support and ownedโ€‘channel amplification.
  • Own alwaysโ€‘on paid search strategies, supporting ongoing analysis and optimization to ensure KPI delivery.
  • Analyze performance drivers and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and marketing ROI (mROI) across channels.
  • Manage Consumer Connections (call support center), partnering closely with QFS and Legal on escalations and crisis management, while leading ongoing reporting and message optimization.

The base compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000/year commensurate with experience.

About You

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in CPG, agency, or strategic media/advertising roles, with increasing responsibility and a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated success in integrated marketing, performance management, people leadership, media planning, data analysis and insight generation, investment management, and project management.
  • Preferred (but not required) experience in food and beverage CPG, natural or missionโ€‘led brands, Bโ€‘Corp environments, and/or boardโ€‘led or private equityโ€‘backed organizations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inform and influence diverse audiences, including executives, external partners, brokers, and customers.
