THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING 2 DAYS PER WEEK (TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY) EACH WEEK IN-PERSON AT OUR OFFICE LOCATED IN THE STREETERVILLE/MAG MILE AREA OF DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, IL.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Integrated Marketing Specialist supports the Integrated Marketing Center of Excellence (IM COE) by managing and executing multi-channel marketing activities for a portfolio of internal clients across AOA business units with a focus on the Board Certification portfolio. This role works closely with Integrated Marketing Leads to deliver high-quality campaigns, maintain project timelines and budgets, optimize paid and email marketing initiatives, and ensure performance reporting is accurate and actionable. The Specialist is a hands-on marketer with expertise in CRM and marketing automation systems, SEO and SEM fundamentals, paid digital targeting, email marketing, and digital content execution. This role ensures operational excellence, consistency, and data-informed decision-making across all marketing activities.

This role drives the successful execution and performance of integrated marketing campaigns by translating strategy into data-driven, multi-channel initiatives that support organizational priorities, improve audience engagement, and maximize marketing ROI.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Integrated Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Support Integrated Marketing Leads in the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across email, paid media, web, and organic digital channels.
  • Execute multi-channel campaigns including list segmentation, audience targeting, A/B testing, content deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Manage day-to-day campaign activities such as trafficking creative assets, coordinating approvals, updating timelines, and ensuring cross-functional alignment with content, brand, and communications teams.

Project & Workflow Management

  • Serve as project manager for marketing initiatives within assigned business units, maintaining workbacks, deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
  • Use project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft Project) to track progress, flag risks, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support operational processes for intake, prioritization, resource planning, and campaign governance across the IM COE.

Email Marketing & CRM

  • Build and deploy email campaigns using marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement and Account Engagement, HubSpot, Feathr, or similar.
  • Create segmented audience lists, lead journeys, and nurture workflows.
  • Implement personalization, dynamic content, and automation best practices.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity and support the integration of campaign activities into CRM reporting.

Paid Digital Marketing

  • Assist in planning and managing paid media campaigns, including paid social, Google Ads, retargeting, and sponsored content.
  • Monitor performance, implement optimizations, and provide insights to IM Leads to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support digital targeting strategies based on audience insights, past performance, and product/program goals.

Performance Reporting & Analytics

  • Compile, analyze, and visualize campaign performance using Google Analytics, CRM dashboards, ad platform analytics, and email marketing metrics.
  • Prepare regular performance reports to support IM Leads in evaluating ROI, KPI progress, and testing insights.
  • Recommend data-driven optimizations to improve future campaigns.

Collaboration & Relationship Support

  • Partner with internal clients (business units), subject matter experts, and marketing and communications colleagues to ensure campaign components align with strategy and organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with content producers and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain strong communication across teams to ensure clarity, transparency, and workflow efficiency.
  • Support vendor coordination for digital advertising, creative development, or external marketing tools as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in IM COE process improvement initiatives, documentation, and best practice playbook development.
  • Support special projects, emerging marketing capabilities, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Special Skills:

Mandatory

  • Hands-on experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement and Account Engagement, HubSpot, Feathr, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and/or digital advertising platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with basic creative and content tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, agency, performance/product marketing environments, and membership associations.
  • Experience with AI-enabled marketing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google AI Studio, HubSpot AI, Adobe AI tools).
  • Experience with website CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).
  • Familiarity with lead lifecycle management, audience segmentation, and funnel-based marketing strategy.
  • Experience with paid digital targeting and campaign optimization.
  • Experience supporting marketing or engagement initiatives for physicians, including exposure to medical specialties and certification or credentialing programs.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in integrated marketing, digital marketing, or marketing operations

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Annually
