AUTOMOTIVE CONTROLLER
IMMEDIATE HIRE – AUTOMOTIVE CONTROLLER WITH DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Indy CDJR is hiring an experienced Automotive Controller to drive financial leadership and profitability across our dealership. This role reports directly to leadership and must deliver timely, accurate financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and operational controls essential to our success.

We are seeking a seasoned financial professional with real automotive dealership experience — if you’ve managed dealership accounting, forecasting, audits, cash management, financial reporting, and compliance, we want to talk to you now.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Prepare complete monthly financial statements on schedule and according to manufacturer requirements.
Ensure accuracy of all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection, and co-op advertising.
Interpret financial results and daily operating control data, alerting management to key trends and opportunities.
Participate in short- and long-term forecasting and planning.
Provide detailed financial and management reports to department managers.
Manage cash forecasting and make recommendations for optimal use of funds.
Assess depreciation rates, maintain loss reserves, and handle general ledger oversight.
Oversee reconciliations with outside sources (banks, plant payables, floor plan, etc.).
Stay current on tax and regulatory changes; ensure compliance with all financial regulations, payroll taxes, retirement plan reporting, and filings.
Administer loss review programs and insurance renewals/claims.
Coordinate annual audit and physical inventory.
Supervise accounting procedures and support audit preparation to minimize cost.
Drive improvements in data integrity and financial systems.
Attend leadership meetings and represent the finance team professionally.
Perform other assigned tasks to support dealership financial health.


REQUIREMENTS – NO EXCEPTIONS

Automotive dealership financial experience is 100% required.
Proven track record in controller or senior accounting roles at a dealership preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
High proficiency with dealership financial systems and general ledger management.
Strong ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
