Job Summary

Robles Management LLC is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead and oversee all accounting and financial operations across our growing multi-store retail organization.
This role is critical to maintaining financial accuracy, enforcing internal controls, and providing real-time financial visibility across 20+ locations. The Controller will work closely with executive leadership to ensure strong financial discipline, support strategic growth, and build scalable systems as we expand.
What Youll Do

Financial Reporting & Close

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting across multiple entities
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly close (target: Day 5)
  • Maintain consolidated reporting across all store locations
Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Enforce strict accounting processes (PO Receiving Invoice Payment)
  • Prevent duplicate, unauthorized, or unsupported transactions
  • Maintain audit-ready financial records
  • Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and licensing requirements
Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

  • Supervise A/P and A/R operations
  • Monitor vendor payments and ensure proper approvals
  • Track and reconcile receivables from third-party platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, etc.)
  • Manage vendor balances, rebates, and incentives
Inventory & Cost Control

  • Ensure alignment between accounting, purchasing, and inventory systems
  • Monitor inventory valuation and discrepancies
  • Oversee intercompany transactions and transfers
  • Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented
Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Track performance against budget
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs
Systems & Process Improvement

  • Manage and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online)
  • Collaborate on financial dashboards and KPI tracking
  • Improve automation and reporting processes
Leadership

  • Lead and develop the accounting team
  • Establish clear accountability and performance expectations
  • Build a disciplined, high-performance finance function
What Were Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred
Experience

  • 510+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role
  • Experience in multi-location retail or inventory-based businesses preferred
Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (multi-entity preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills
