What: Support the Corporate Controller across technical accounting, ASC 944 insurance accounting, reinsurance, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Job Summary
A national insurance organization is seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller (CPA) to partner closely with the Corporate Controller on technical accounting, reinsurance accounting, and financial reporting. This role requires strong expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 944 (Insurance Accounting), and offers broad ownership, leadership visibility, and exposure to complex insurance transactions. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical accounting research and application under US GAAP (ASC 944).
  • Support reinsurance, warranty, and insurance accounting activities.
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting packages and disclosures.
  • Support and help manage the financial close process.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Strengthen and monitor internal controls.

Qualifications
Required:
