Job description

Join a great commercial team that specializes in Trucking and Artisan Contractors. More than 50% of our book of business is dealing with accounts with premiums from $100,000 to $2,500,000 In the New England region. These are great businesses that appreciate the expertise and attention that is no longer available with most larger agencies that have recently bee acquired.

Commercial Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day account management for our commercial clients with complex coverage needs including coverage/policy questions, claims handling, and providing high customer service satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of commercial account management skills, including but not limited to; customer service and administration. The position requires experience managing both small and mid-size commercial accounts and have a strong understanding of the underwriting process that involves new and renewal business..

Responsibilities
  • Administer the day to day management of commercial lines accounts
  • Prepare Accord submissions to market new and renewal business
  • Work closely with underwriters and clients on all day to day issues
  • Assure proper handling of outstanding binders, policy checking function, and policy renewals
  • Provide assistance in all claim problems
  • Direct all activities concerning insurance schedules, certificates of insurance and other services for clients
  • Review all accounts initially and at least annually, internally and with client for the purpose of understanding the business of the client, updating exposure information and offering appropriate products and services
  • Maintain account files in an orderly sequence according to established procedures
  • Enter all required data into system (AMS 360) to maintain current file data on assigned accounts.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial lines in an agency capacity
  • A firm understanding of coverage options across multiple policies as well as an understanding of compliance with relative government regulations such as OSHA and FMCSA.
  • Valid Massachusetts Property & Casualty Brokers License
