APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an established insurance organization in search of a Commercial Insurance Account Executive. This is a great opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, managing complex commercial accounts, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, renewal strategy, and carrier relations while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

What your day will look like:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial insurance accounts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular account reviews
  • Respond promptly to client questions and service needs
  • Educate clients on coverage options, exclusions, and risk management strategies
  • Manage complex coverage discussions and assist with difficult service or claim escalations
  • Conduct account review and stewardship meetings with clients
  • Oversee the full renewal lifecycle from strategy through execution
  • Lead renewal strategy meetings with clients and producers
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, coverage conditions, and solutions with underwriters
  • Market new and renewal business to appropriate carriers to secure competitive coverage options
  • Build and maintain strong carrier and underwriter relationships
  • Identify coverage gaps and cross-sell additional lines of coverage when appropriate
  • Support producers in identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Contribute to client retention, account rounding, and agency revenue growth
  • Provide documentation of transactions, emails, and conversations in the agency management system
  • Support team members across the department and assist with training when needed
  • Participate in meetings, scorecards, agency initiatives, and professional development activities

What we are looking for:
  • 10+ years of commercial insurance experience within an independent agency
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages
  • Active Property and Casualty insurance license
  • Experience with agency management systems; Applied EPIC preferred
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
