Job description

Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). Under the direction of the Deputy Director, Legislation and External Affairs, the Information Officer I (Specialist) serves as the Office of Tax Appeals (OTA) multimedia expert. The Information Officer I (Specialist) develops, produces, and evaluates multimedia communications, including video productions, live-streamed hearings, presentations, and informational materials. The position supports OTA's public information and outreach objectives by ensuring communications are clear, accurate, accessible, and aligned with the organization's communication strategy.

Working Conditions
  • Requires frequent contact with supervisors, managers and employees.
  • Requires mobility to various areas of the Department's work locations.
  • Travel may be required within the State of California to attend meetings, training classes, seminars and forums.

  • The duties of this position are equipped with standard ergonomic office equipment, as appropriate.
  • Will be required to attend meetings or training classes either virtually (Zoom; TEAMS) or in-person.
