About the Role:

The Inflight Manager of Training and Compliance is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for all inflight personnel to ensure operational excellence and regulatory adherence. This role ensures that all flight attendants and related staff are fully compliant with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and safety standards. The manager leads a team that designs curriculum, conducts training sessions, and evaluates the effectiveness of training initiatives to maintain the highest levels of safety and customer service. They collaborate closely with regulatory bodies, internal departments, and external vendors to stay current with industry best practices and evolving compliance requirements. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance across the inflight workforce nationwide.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Aviation Management, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inflight operations, training, or compliance within the airline industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and industry safety standards applicable to inflight services.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs for adult learners.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Aviation Safety, Training and Development, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Safety Management Systems (SMS) or equivalent compliance certifications.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning content development.
  • Background in quality assurance or audit processes within aviation or related industries.
  • Familiarity with international aviation regulations and standards (e.g., EASA, ICAO).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs for inflight personnel, ensuring alignment with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all applicable safety, security, and operational regulations within the inflight team.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate training staff to maintain high-quality instructional delivery and continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, internal departments, and external partners to update training content and compliance protocols as regulations evolve.
  • Analyze training effectiveness through audits, assessments, and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Manage documentation and reporting related to training activities, compliance status, and regulatory audits.
  • Coordinate with inflight operations leadership to address compliance issues and support incident investigations when necessary.
