Job description

Indirect Procurement Manager

The Opportunity:

Booz Allen is seeking an Indirect Procurement Manager to support the strategy, sourcing, and management of indirect spend categories across the organization and client environments. This role will be responsible for driving through strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, contract support, and the procurement process improvement for indirect goods and services.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing indirect procurement categories such as IT, telecom, software, HR, Facilities, Finance, Marketing and general corporate operations. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders, business leaders, vendors, finance, legal, and various contract teams to optimize spending, ensure compliance, reduce risk, and improve supplier performance. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You'll Work On:

  • Support purchase requisition, purchase order, and vendor onboarding processes as needed.

  • Assist in contract negotiation, ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers are in line with vision and strategy.

  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and purchases to improve procurement operations, supplier performance, and business outcomes.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective procurement solutions.

  • Work with multiple suppliers, including identifying and sourcing authorized sources of supply and distribution channels and creating and facilitating a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP).

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective procurement solutions.

  • Monitor supplier performance, service levels, pricing structures, and risk factors to support strong vendor relationships.

  • Ensure successful project completion by developing and planning projects or tasks, and adhering to scheduling, budgetary, quality control, risk management, and contractual obligations.

  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Business Principles, policies, and standards.

You Have:

  • Experience working in commercial procurement or buyer roles

  • Experience conducting supplier evaluations, spend analysis, and cost savings initiatives

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Experience demonstrating professionalism and composure when receiving direct feedback in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment

  • Knowledge of sourcing strategy, supplier management, contract support, and procurement lifecycle activities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience in procurement or buyer roles, Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience in procurement or buyer roles, or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in procurement or buyer roles

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience consulting on internal direct purchases

  • Experience managing indirect spending categories such as IT, facilities, HR and staffing, software, marketing, or corporate services

  • Knowledge of supplier risk management, contract compliance, and procurement governance

  • Knowledge of procurement systems such as Ivalua or similar tools

  • Ability to work directly with senior stakeholders

  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
