Job description

The Role

Reporting to the VP, Indirect Procurement, the Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement will work closely and collaboratively to secure optimal value for Fanatics through enterprise-wide procurement process development, cost savings and efficiency initiatives, and contract negotiations. This role is critical in building discipline within the Indirect Procurement function.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the VP and business leaders to determine key procurement needs across Marketing and Technology Indirect categories
  • Create and own strategy and execution within the specific Marketing areas of Media & Performance, MarTech, Creative & Content Production, Partnerships/Rights/Licensing, Brand & Experiential, Marketing Operations.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships by collaborating across departmental lines and businesses to foster trust and accountability
  • Perform market, industry, and trend analysis to understand key cost drivers
  • Develop category strategies with guidance from the Director and deliver in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Identify upcoming stakeholder requirements and build forecasts/models to understand and optimize future spend
  • Prepare and manage fact-based RFI/RFP proposals - run bids, consolidate responses, assemble vendor score cards, and perform data analysis (create cost and savings models) to assist with vendor selection
  • Champion Fanatics values (vendor diversity, sustainability, etc.) and incorporate into the vendor screening and selection process
  • Ensure proper due diligence is completed on all vendors prior to onboarding and effectively control risks to the business
  • Manage vendor contract negotiations, partnering with business owners and the legal team to drive optimal value as well as ensure they adhere to our contracting standards
  • Implement KPI(s) into negotiated agreements and work with business owners to ensure vendor compliance
  • Support the ongoing development of Indirect Procurement best practices
  • Provide support for special procurement projects, business initiatives, etc. as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of indirect procurement experience, marketing and/or technology preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proven experience effectively manage relationships across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in an evolving and fast paced environment
  • Results-oriented, organized, efficient and resourceful
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions
  • Highly proficient manipulating and drawing insights from large data sets and disparate sources using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other larger-scale procurement process
  • Highly proficient visually summarizing data and information in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Expectation to be on-site in NYC office 4-days per week
