The In-Room Dining (IRD) program delivers high-quality food and beverage service directly to guest rooms, providing convenience, privacy, and a personalized dining experience.

The In-Room Dining Server plays a key role in delivering this experience with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Job Summary

The In-Room Dining Server - Full-Time is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This role ensures all orders are properly presented, set up according to service standards, and billed correctly.

This position requires strong guest service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium service standards.

Job Specifications

Onsite: Black Desert ResortShift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-TimePay Rate: $8.00/hour plus portion of service charge and tips. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to

  • Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and accurately.
  • Set up in-room dining trays, tables, and service equipment according to resort standards.
  • Provide a professional and courteous introduction when entering guest rooms.
  • Review orders with guests to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of trays, carts, and service equipment.
  • Retrieve trays and service items from guest rooms in a timely manner.
  • Process guest checks, ensuring accurate billing and posting to room folios.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and IRD team to ensure proper timing of orders.
  • Assist with order taking, answering phones, and entering orders into the POS system as needed.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of IRD service areas and storage spaces.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Handle guest requests, special accommodations, and service recovery professionally.
  • Uphold Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium hospitality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in room service or fine dining.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
