Job description

Founders Table Restaurant Group, owner of Dos Toros Taqueria & Protein Bar & Kitchen, is looking to bring on a Junior Accountant to be based in our Rye Brook, NY office. This position is required to be in the office 4 days a week with one optional day of working remotely.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and process all emails in the AP mailbox
  • Review the DSS for accuracy and post on a daily basis
  • Complete weekly/monthly vendor account reconciliations
  • Maintain Xtrachef portal
  • Invoice Allocation to Location
  • Review Invoices for Processing with accuracy
  • Monitor Approvals/Exceptions/Mapping
  • Record financial transactions, journal entries, and accrual entries
  • Reconcile 3p AR transactions to the bank statements
  • Reconcile assigned GL accounts
  • Support the preparation of monthly financials statements as per the period close calendar
  • Support tax preparation, compliance filings and audit documentation
  • Ad-hoc projects

Requirements include:

  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Able to multitask and problem solve
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. R365 and XC)
  • AAS in accounting, finance or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a relevant business/industry
