WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A DINING ROOM SERVER
We are looking for a Dining Room Server who is energized by the thought of joining a thriving senior living community. This position requires a passion for both communication and relationships. Someone who is both professional, friendly, and cares about others will thrive in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A DINING ROOM SERVER
Under the direction of the Dining Services Director, a Dining Room Server performs a variety of tasks in the preparation, service, and clean up for lunch and dinner meals served to our residents. Some of the general responsibilities of a Dining Server include, but are not limited to:
  • Upholds a high level of customer service when dealing with staff, residents, families, and guests - addressing questions and concerns with respect and thoughtfulness
  • Creates an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests
  • Follows established guidelines while serving in the main dining room and at special functions
  • Checks with hostess on duty for any special meal arrangements
  • Serves residents promptly in an orderly and polite manner, bussing tables between courses in an organized manner, and resetting tables daily
  • Follows all safety and sanitation rules and regulations
  • Follows instructions, works well with others, and maintains a good rapport with residents
  • Refers all problems to host/hostess or member of the management staff
  • Presents a clean and professional appearance
  • Cooperates with staff of other departments in performing job duties

SHIFTS OF A DINING SERVER
We are looking for a Full Time and/or Part Time Dining Room Server. We serve two meals a day - lunch and dinner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or long-term care dining environment preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, working weekends or holidays when needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk/stand 90% or more of shifts, and respond to all resident and emergency needs quickly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
