Job Description

The Winery at Bull Run and Old Farm Winery at Hartland is looking for a part-time, energetic, customer service focused event coordinator.

The event coordinator will assist the Event Manager with all weddings and private events and the daily administrative duties related to the ongoing client communication and assuming day of coordinator for private event clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage event set-up, day-of coordination, as well as coordination with vendors, delivery, and client needs.
  • Maintain/ coordinate event timeline.
  • Present for all client meetings in advance of event, record keeping in preparation for day-of event duties.
  • Assist event manager with administrative duties
  • Maintain professional correspondence with event clients, answering questions during the planning process and coordinating necessary contact between vendors.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Communications, or related field of study preferred, not required.
  • (1) one to (2) two years of relevant experience in events, hospitality field, or food and beverage.
  • Required to work nights and weekends, especially during peak event season.
  • Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry, exhibiting the ability to accommodate and adapt to situations by effective decision making.
  • Must be able to stand on your feed for extended hours during events as well as be able to lift up to 60lbs.

Job Type: Part time, Hourly, 25 – 30 hours per week

Salary: $16-$17 per hour

Schedule:

  • 25 – 30 hours per week, weekend schedule with flexible weekdays
  • Holidays
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Events or Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)
