About this role

BlackRock is hiring an Application Onboarding Associate to become part of its Access & Identity Management organization based in the Delaware office. This role handles the onboarding and offboarding of both internally and externally hosted applications, making certain they meet IAM policies and standards. The successful applicant will work closely with application owners, developers, and external vendors to gather requirements, review access models, and put into place effective IAM controls.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a variety of technologies, partnering across teams, and contributing to secure, well governed technology environments.


Responsibilities

In the role of Application Onboarding Associate, you will:

  • Coordinate application onboarding and offboarding activities (both internally and externally hosted) in partnership with application owners and external vendors.

  • Collect and assess requirements for deploying Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls for both internal and external applications.

  • Evaluate applications and implement IAM processes and procedures in accordance with IAM Policy.

  • Collaborate with application owners and developers to support IAM automation.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Security, Technology, Risk, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience working within an Application On-boarding group or Identity and Access Management (IAM) groups.

  • Experience handling user administration tasks such as IAM joiner, mover, leaver (JML) processes in Windows, Azure Active Directory, and various in-house as well as third-party applications.

  • Proven ability to on-board application user access management and required controls

  • Experience in crafting and maintaining detailed IAM procedures and policies for new applications being on-boarded.

  • Familiarity with workflow and access governance tools such as ServiceNow and SailPoint; experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) is a plus.

  • Strong data analysis skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP)

  • Experience operating within regulated, risk-conscious, or strictly controlled settings.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and nontechnical teams.

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$138,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
