Job description

Overview

i3 is seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations (EO) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires (PAE Fires) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Engagement Operations team. 
  • Reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
  • Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
  • Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
  • Work with the development team to establish acceptance criteria and functional tests to ensure QA/QC of software deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Have a basic understanding of Engagement Operations concepts to include engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction and sensor resource management. 
  • Have the ability to provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria. 
  • Be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

The candidate must:

  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Be a US citizen.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,.Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.

Other Qualifications:

An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiar with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.  Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
