We are looking to hire a Associate Trade Marketing Manager I  immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity located in Hunt Valley, MD  supporting our Asian and Salad Toppings Category.    The Associate Trade Marketing Manager I  will report to our Trade Marketing Director.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Associate Trade Marketing Manager I bridges Field Sales and Marketing; leading strategic sales promotion plans and resolving issues to support national business goals and achieving sales and profit targets.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a portfolio estimating $317MM  in annual sales.
  • Participate in the annual brand planning process.  Own translating strategic direction from Marketing (annual and ad hoc) into National and Category specific strategies for deployment to Field Sales for execution.
  • Actively provide insights and participate in joint planning sessions with Field Sales (managers and brokers) to ensure one comprehensive plan.
  • Assists in developing incremental marketing/trade funds programs and launch these programs to the Field Sales Team
  • Helps resolve a variety, often unique, Sales and Customer issues related to economics, sales, production, supply chain, and/or marketing.
  • Aids with development and coordination of Sales and Customer initiatives/plans related to new products introductions, including but not limited to complete Innovation Sell Decks
  • Participate in new item and promotion forecasts to ensure customer service needs are met; include working with Marketing and Supply Chain via the IBP process.
  • Deliver monthly and ad hoc reporting for trade, innovation and other business needs.
  • Assist in managing inventory and production needs as necessary.
  • Manages the forecast and tracking of display vehicles.
  • Work along with Marketing, Category Management, Revenue Management and other cross functional partners on strategic initiatives related to major customer sales opportunities.
  • May have the opportunity to manage a summer intern.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics or other related fields
  • 3+ years of consumer product good experience with at least 1 year of direct customer selling experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office including PowerPoint and excel.
  • Must be able to work with large data sets including pulling and interrupting data independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required to present to large groups of people virtually and in person.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Required to manage multiple projects at the same time while managing day-to-day tasks and objectives.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years of Category Management experience is strongly preferred

Base Salary: $87,910  - $153,870

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program. In addition to a competitive compensation package, permanent employees of McCormick are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs that include:
