Job description

Description

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team and become the architect of Horus Vision's marketing future. As the leading force in sports optics innovation, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to build, lead, and scale our marketing engine. If you are ready to define the narrative, grow a high-impact team, and work at the intersection of precision engineering and outdoor passion, this is your next adventure.
The Marketing Manager for Horus Vision works directly with the Vice President of Horus to strategically develop the company's marketing vision and to build awareness of how our products and services can satisfy customer needs. The Marketing Manager thinks strategically, developing and executing marketing campaigns and activities that fulfill company objectives while using hard data to measure the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives. This person is responsible for growing the Horus brand within various market segments while managing and inspiring a team. This person needs to be equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing.
We are Horus
TARGETING INNOVATION

As the Marketing Manager for HVRT, you work directly with the Vice President of Horus to turn decades of proven, battle-tested engineering into a brand story the market actually hears. You think strategically and execute tactically, building annual marketing strategy, then living in the day-to-day work of campaigns, content, and team leadership that brings it to life. You'll use hard data to know what's working, and enough honesty with yourself and your team to change course when it isn't.

This is not a hand-it-off role. Specifically, you will:

  • Assist the VP of Horus in developing and evolving brand strategy, purpose, vision, and creative direction
  • Develop annual marketing strategy grounded in prior campaign performance, market trends, and a clear-eyed SWOT of where HVRT stands today
  • Own the marketing budget; requesting, allocating, and tracking it with the same integrity and discipline you'd expect if it were your own money
  • Lead the execution of marketing strategy end-to-end, driving collaboration across sales, engineering, and operations rather than working in a silo
  • Guide creative direction and develop creative briefs for all public-facing communication, including print, digital, and video
  • Conceptualize and execute multichannel campaigns across the product and customer lifecycle, keeping messaging aligned across every channel
  • Manage the HVRT website, SEO, and social media presence, and report on digital performance with the same rigor you'd apply to any other KPI
  • Cultivate product reviews, media coverage, and relationships with industry partners and influencers
  • Plan and manage trade show and exhibition activity, including booth creation, logistics, and on-site representation
  • Build, lead, and develop a marketing team that understands and is genuinely dedicated to the HVRT brand; hiring, coaching, and managing performance

WHAT MAKES YOU RIGHT FOR THIS

The ideal background for this role already lives at the intersection of marketing and the shooting, hunting, or outdoor industry; someone who speaks the customer's language and doesn't need it translated. That said, we'll seriously consider a seasoned Marketing Manager from another technical or performance-driven industry who has the discipline to earn credibility with an engineering-first team quickly.

We aren't looking for someone who walks in with all the answers. We're looking for someone humble enough to test their own assumptions against data, and to genuinely listen when a team member closest to the customer challenges the plan because that feedback is real input, not a formality to get through on the way to what you'd already decided.

Requirements

Specifically, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business required (or applicable experience may be substituted)
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, including at least 1 year of personnel management
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Ads, and experience evaluating paid ad performance across platforms including Facebook Ads Manager
  • Strong understanding of email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Klaviyo, or similar
  • Comprehensive website SEO experience using AIOSEO or similar tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred (but not required):

  • Extensive knowledge of the outdoor industry, both domestic and international

What Success Looks Like Here

Day to day, success looks like this: you can articulate the HVRT brand clearly enough that a customer, a competitor, or a brand-new hire could repeat it back correctly. You're proficient across the online marketing and social channels that matter, and you use them with real strategy behind them, not just a consistent posting schedule. Your writing, speaking, and presenting hold up in front of any audience, and you run your own calendars and campaigns with enough organization that nothing important gets missed. You take a marketing goal and know which tactics actually move it, and you have a genuine knack for building up the people on your team, not just managing them. You understand brand positioning and communication strategy deeply enough to defend a decision under pressure, and you stay close enough to market trends, competitor activity, and the SWOT for the HVRT brand that you're rarely caught off guard. You're motivated to build and maintain real, collaborative relationships both inside the company and out, and you bring genuine knowledge of the outdoor industry, domestic and international, to every conversation.

Ready to Own It?

If you've read this far and you're thinking, "this is the job for me," we want to hear from you. Submit your resume, application, and a brief note on why this specific role is the right next career step for you.

What Sets Us Apart?

  • 100% paid benefits for the employee including: medical, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance.
  • Paid Time Off Package - earn up to 60 hours your first year and watch it grow the longer you're with the company.
  • 10-13 paid holidays per year
  • Matching 401k after one year of employment
  • 4-day work week, who doesn't like 3-day weekends?
  • Pride in our product
  • Employee discount on products and The Company apparel
