Director of Human Resources


Location: 100% On-Site, Windsor, CT Area


Compensation: $150,000–$200,000 DOE Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm


A growing, family-owned manufacturing company is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead key HR functions and partner closely with executive leadership.


This role is ideal for an HR leader who enjoys balancing strategic influence with hands‑on execution of employee relations, staffing/recruiting, HRIS, compensation, and workforce planning.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead and oversee all employee relations activities, providing guidance on complex workplace issues and investigations.

  • Drive staffing and recruiting strategies to support ongoing growth and talent acquisition needs.

  • Own and optimize HRIS and HR technology platforms, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a small HR team.

  • Serve as a trusted business partner to the C-suite, providing counsel on organizational, talent, and workforce planning initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • At least 5years ofexperience managing a small professional HR team.

  • Must be operationally focused with experience executing strategy and addressing higher level operational issues.

  • Strong expertise in employee relations, recruiting, HR operations, compensation (merit process) administration, and HRIS management/strong report writing skills(understands basic system configuration/system workflows).

  • Strategic recruiting experience (ability to structure a recruiting function, in addition to hands on recruiting background).

  • Familiarity with health & welfare benefits strongly preferred.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
