Human Resources Manager - Alabama Laboratory OperationsWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives for a clinical laboratory that processes samples from assisted living and memory care facilities throughout Alabama. Partnering with executive leadership, managers, and supervisors, you will deliver practical people strategies that support a safe, compliant, high-performing workforce. We value our employees and we want you to do the same.What You'll DoLead recruiting, workforce planning, offer management, background screening, and partnerships with schools, agencies, and job fairs.Manage onboarding, orientation, E-Verify, payroll and benefits enrollment, training records, and employee separations.Coach managers and employees on performance, employee relations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.Administer benefits, workers' compensation, leave and claim-related requests, unemployment responses, and full-cycle payroll oversight.Maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, affirmative action obligations, and compliance with employment laws and applicable OSHA requirements.Oversee employee records, HRIS, learning management and applicant tracking systems, HR metrics, and the HR/recruiting team.Travel regularly to laboratory locations throughout Alabama to build relationships, understand site needs, and ensure consistent HR practices.What You BringBachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.Seven or more years of progressively responsible HR experience, including independent ownership of multiple HR function.Sound knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and workplace safety compliance.Strong communication, judgment, organization, negotiation, problem-solving, and confidentiality.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology; ADP Workforce and Breezy ATS experience is a plus.PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.Ability to travel regularly across Alabama, work for prolonged periods at a computer, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.EOE
