Location: Houston, TX
We're looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers by providing HR support across employee relations, policy interpretation, benefits, leave administration, compliance, onboarding, and HR operations. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries, independently resolving routine matters while partnering with HR leadership on more complex issues.
What You'll Do:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR questions and provide timely, accurate, and professional guidance.
  • Interpret and apply company policies while supporting employee relations matters and escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Manage HR communications, including shared inboxes and employee inquiries.
  • Support leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs.
  • Assist employees with benefits questions, qualifying life events, and enrollment support.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in ADP and other HR systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Support employment verifications, unemployment claims, audits, reporting, and HR compliance initiatives.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and contribute to a positive onboarding experience.
  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and other teams to provide seamless HR support.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, process improvements, and other HR projects.

What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Operations, Employee Relations, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC requirements.
  • Experience supporting employees in a fast-paced, multi-site, or field-based environment preferred.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
