About the Role

Location: Remote – Michigan residents

If you’re passionate about organizational development and love using organizational behavior and the behavior sciences to help people grow, you’ll feel right at home at Morley. As an Organizational Development Consultant, you’ll design and deliver initiatives that strengthen our culture and cultivate an extraordinary associate experience across diverse lines of business.

You’ll unlock human potential by building meaningful learning and growth opportunities, coaching leaders and consulting on career optimization strategies. You’ll also evaluate what’s working (and what isn’t) so our organizational development efforts stay effective, relevant and aligned with Morley’s values.

This is a remote role and will partner closely with leaders and teams across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement strategies that align and support Morley’s culture and values across diverse lines of business
  • Consult with Morley leaders on associate development, career journeys and strategies that help people be their best selves
  • Support workforce and succession planning by identifying skill gaps, guiding talent development strategies and strengthening the internal talent pipeline
  • Collaborate with leadership on change management, team building and aligning associate, team and enterprise goals
  • Facilitate associate and leadership development programs, including compliance-required programs and programs built for specific business needs
  • Partner on engagement and retention initiatives through ongoing collaboration and consultation
  • Assess and analyze organizational development goals, strategies and practices to continuously improve OD initiatives and outcomes

Skills for Success

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of organizational development, organizational behavior and behavior sciences (and how to apply them in real-world environments)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire and inform audiences at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including rapport-building, consultative problem-solving and the ability to negotiate or mediate resolutions
  • A positive, self-starting approach with a strong work ethic and consistent follow-through on deadlines
  • Organizational skills and careful attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or, extensive industry expertise and job-related experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements)
  • Two or more years of organizational development experience in a relevant profession
  • Able to work the following hours:
    • Monday - Friday
    • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time (7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central / 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mountain / 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific)

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in organizational psychology, organizational development or business administration
  • CPTD or other relevant credential
  • Ability to travel to Morley headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan, as needs require
  • Comfort with physical aspects of facilitation and events as needed (presenting to groups in person or virtually; moving easels / sign boards / small supply boxes via lifting or cart)

Remote Work Requirements 

  • Michigan resident
  • High-speed internet access at home that you are able to connect to via Ethernet or landline
  • Secluded and distraction-free work environment
