Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Support Center Generalist will provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and programs. They will take calls and tickets from candidates, current and former outfitters, field HR staff, and HR business partners. They will assess needs and provide outfitters and managers with solutions to any concerns and answers to questions. This position manages HR processes and compliance, serves as a subject matter expert and drives employer relationships internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administers guidance on HR programs and answers questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of programs and make recommendations for enhancements.

  • Partners with HR business partners or business unit stakeholders to assess HR-related needs for individual outfitters as needed.

  • Creates and delivers information to meet customer needs through effective communication and relationships.

  • Serves as a resource subject matter expert for all HR processes, systems, and compliance regulations.

  • Identifies and executes process improvements.

  • Partners with managers and HR business partners to resolve outfitter relations issues or concerns as needed.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4-6+ years of experience

  • SHRM SPHR certification or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 2 or more years in an HR position or the equivalent experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Strong problem resolution skills with proven ability to work with others in a positive manner.

  • Extensive communication (written and verbal), mediation (conflict resolution) and facilitation skills.

  • Proficiency in an HRIS system or related experience - Workday preferred.

  • Strong self-starter. Must demonstrate personal initiative and willingly assume responsibility and ownership.

  • Ability to work independently and to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Possess positive customer service skills in interactions.

  • Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic and continuous involvement in self-education and development.

  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.

  • Ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and judgement in the management of confidential information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly performs computer work and sits.

  • Occasionally walks and stands.

  • Seldom/never lifts to 50lbs.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

  • Has authority to resolve issues regarding HR general policies and procedures for functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational guidelines. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
