As a People & Organization Advisor, you will help shape the employees' experience and support the success of our manufacturing facilities in the Wendell, North Carolina area. If you're passionate about people relations, conflict resolution, and delivering effective HR services, we encourage you to apply. This position is based at our Wendell, NC location and requires full-time on-site attendance, 5 days per week. Reporting to the P&O People Relations team, you will serve as a Manufacturing People & Organization (HR) Advisor focused on People Relations and day-to-day employee and manager topics that arise. You will partner closely with the site/organization P&O Business Partners to support the day-to-day execution of people strategies while managing and resolving employee relations matters, promoting positive employee experiences, and ensuring consistent application of P&O policies. You'll also collaborate across the P&O ecosystem, site leadership and legal primarily.
As the site's primary contact for employee and You'll be at the center of employee relations for the site-actively engaging with employees and leaders, resolving issues as they arise, and driving positive workplace outcomes. We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, visible, and impactful. While these locations are not represented, experience with Labor Relations is preferred.
You'll make an impact by:
  • Fostering a Positive Work Environment: Engage employees empathetically, promote open communication, and act as a bridge between employees, leadership, and stakeholders. Spend time walking the floor for visibility.
  • Facilitating Dispute Resolution: Identify root causes of conflicts, provide counsel, and propose fair resolutions compliant with company policies. Follow handbooks and agreements as required.
  • Maintaining an onsite presence to reflect the onsite employee and management populations.
  • Provide training and promote a positive work environment through defined People Relations (ER) training.
  • Having a Continuous Improvement & Efficiency Mindset: Diagnose bottlenecks in processes/systems and ensure accuracy. Recommend and implement improvements.
  • Leveraging People Analytics: Monitor morale and engagement through multiple data sources, offering insights and trends to key stakeholders. Understand and utilize systems to ensure case documentation is accurate and stored appropriately.
  • Engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders: Utilize effective communication skills to foster relationships as a key interface and responsive partner to internal and external stakeholders. Drive complex issue resolution and facilitate conversations between diverse groups. Work with stakeholders to identify risks and build proactive solutions.
  • Resolve People Relations Issues: Proactively manage and resolve a broad range of People Relations issues, including conducting thorough investigations, addressing workplace concerns, and facilitating conflict resolution. You will work to foster trust with the site and promote a respectful work environment.
  • Policy Guidance & Interpretation: Provide clear guidance and interpretation of P&O (HR) policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness in the application of these policies at all levels of the organization.
  • Employee Engagement & Relations: Act as the primary liaison between management and employees, ensuring that concerns are addressed, feedback is communicated, and the overall employee experience remains positive. Promote open communication and positive relationships throughout the facility.
  • Performance Management Coaching: Support supervisors and managers in the day-to-day management of employee performance. Provide guidance on performance improvement, coaching techniques, and conflict resolution to ensure a motivated and productive workforce.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing or distribution environment, with a strong focus on People Relations.
  • 3-5 years of experience demonstrating the ability to coach and guide managers on people relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work primarily on site covering multiple shifts if needed.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and privacy, ensure protection of data, and demonstrate responsible use of data access.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships through strong communication, interpersonal skills, and constructive conflict resolution.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to leverage data to influence decision-making, solve problems and implement innovative HR solutions that align with business goals.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliverables while effectively prioritizing meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Balances quality and quantity well.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and build positive relationships with employees at all levels. Ability to objectively summarize investigations, translating facts into clear, concise narratives with well-supported recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks while prioritizing effectively. Balances quality and quantity well, is resilient when faced with barriers and/or conflict.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships through strong communication, interpersonal skills, and constructive conflict resolution.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to leverage data to influence decision-making, solve problems, and implement innovative HR solutions that align with business goals.

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
