Job description

Position Title: Household Operations Manager & Family Assistant

Location: Lehigh County and surrounding areas

Schedule: M-F (PT or FT)

Compensation: $20-$25/hr (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Household Assistant to support multiple professional households through our agency.

This is an agency-employed position, meaning the Household Assistant will be assigned to more than one household during the week. The primary schedule includes weekday morning support with one household (approximately three hours per day, Monday–Friday), along with additional afternoon support for a second household twice per week.

This role is best suited for a flexible, self-directed professional who is comfortable traveling between households and managing consistent schedules across different home environments. Similar to professional housekeeping or household support roles, this position requires adaptability, strong organization skills, and the ability to work independently.

This is not a childcare or nanny role. The focus is on household support, organization, and day-to-day operational tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

Household Operations & Organization

  • Maintain high standards of organization and daily upkeep
  • Oversee functionality of high-traffic spaces (kitchen, bathrooms, living areas)
  • Execute light maintenance touch-ups between professional cleanings
  • Manage pantry systems and household inventory
  • Implement and maintain organizational systems

Laundry & Linen Management

  • Full-cycle laundry oversight (as assigned)
  • Linen rotation and bedding maintenance
  • Closet and storage optimization

Home Logistics

  • Coordinate grocery runs and household supply procurement
  • Oversee deliveries and vendor access when needed
  • Support household readiness for events, travel, and school transitions
  • Manage small operational projects independently

Occasional Family Support

  • Brief child supervision if required
  • Comfortable working in homes with children and pets

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Household Manager, House Manager, or Executive-Level Household Assistant
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong organizational systems mindset
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and follow-through
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Ability to pass background screening and employment clearances

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30–40 pounds (groceries, storage bins, laundry baskets, etc.)
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout a multi-level home
  • Physically capable of maintaining an active, hands-on household role

Professional Standards:

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Anticipates needs without waiting to be asked
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times
  • Takes pride in operational excellence
  • Values consistency and long-term stability
  • Understands boundaries in professional households

Employment Details:

  • Employed through The Nanny Loft
  • Bi-weekly payroll
  • Workers’ compensation coverage
  • Required background screening, fingerprinting, and clearances
  • Structured onboarding provided

To Apply:

This is a long-term, part-time position ideal for someone seeking consistent, fulfilling household work with a warm and appreciative family. Interested candidates should apply through The Nanny Loft's recruitment portal and be prepared for a working interview and background screening.

Please Note: Applications submitted using the default Indeed-generated resume will not be considered. To be eligible for this position, applicants must upload a tailored, professional resume that accurately reflects their experience and qualifications.
