Job Description:

House Manager

Part-Time Nightshift

The House Manager is responsible for the Patient Care Services clinical operations and for administrative supervision of overall hospital activities in the absence of the President/designee.

  • Facilitate timely throughput to maximize utilization of services.

  • Authorized to take any reasonable actions necessary to execute the functions and responsibilities delegated to his/her position by the Vice President, Patient Care Services and President.

  • Make rounds frequently to assess bed availability and staffing.

  • Receives report daily on each unit from the manager/charge nurse.

  • Responsibilities include fiscal and staff management, including allocation/reallocation of staff as indicated. Serve as resource for staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.

  • Minimum of three years of job-related experience required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

  • Competence in professional nursing practice including teaching, leadership, and management skills required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills required.

  • Basic computer skills required to enter/analyze data.

  • Ability to quickly learn new computer software/programs as needed.

  • Flexibility is required to provide additional shift coverage for vacancies/illnesses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution.
